In the span of a short time, two hurricanes, Maria and Irma, struck two separate regions where I lived and worked. Each left behind devastation, robbing me of my home, my workplace, and my stability. Despite working tirelessly to rebuild after Maria, Irma followed too soon, leaving me without a chance to recover.

Maria: Destruction in the First Region

Hurricane Maria caused significant destruction in one of the regions where I had built both my life and work. My workplace and living space were heavily damaged. Though not everything was lost, the damage was severe enough to halt my activities and force me to focus entirely on recovery.
I put everything I had into rebuilding. Days turned into weeks, and weeks into months, as I worked relentlessly to restore what had been destroyed. However, the lack of financial aid or any form of external support made this effort incredibly difficult. Every step forward was met with new obstacles.

Irma: Devastation in the Second Region

Before I could fully recover from Maria, Hurricane Irma hit another region where I had a second home and workplace. This time, the destruction was absolute. My second workplace and home were completely wiped out, leaving nothing to salvage. Irma undid what little progress I had managed to achieve after Maria, compounding the sense of loss and hopelessness.

Relentless Effort, No Recovery

Despite the overwhelming devastation caused by these two hurricanes, I refused to give up. I worked tirelessly to rebuild, pouring all my time, energy, and resources into recovery. But the scale of the destruction, combined with the absence of aid, made it impossible for me to succeed alone.
